A.M. Skincare Routine November 2017
My current A.M. skincare routine – Winter 2017
Step 1 – Cleanse
The Greatest Scrub of All by Soap & Glory – In the morning, I give my face a good scrub with this creamy exfoliator. I love the texture and fine micro scrubbing spheres. I’ve only found it in the UK and hopefully it comes to the U.S. market.
Step 2 – Hydrate
Pixi Glow Tonic – This is an exfoliating toner as opposed to a strictly hydrating one but it’s so gentle (5% glycolic) that I often use it in this step before applying a serum. Available at Target.
Step 3 – Serum
Matrixyl 10% by The Ordinary – Peptides produce collagen and elastin. Many serums pack a lot of peptides into one product. That’s the better bang for your buck but Matrixyl is one peptide that I regularly use on its own because I do see a difference in my skin. This one by The Ordinary is a quality choice at a great price.
*I alternate between Serum and Vitamin C days. Sometimes when I use both vitamin C and a serum, the silicone in the vitamin C can ball up with certain brands and effects my make-up application.
Step 4 – Eye Cream
Natura Bisse The Cure Sheer Eye – Still using this eye cream. It lasts forever. This is a very sheer, tinted eye cream loaded with anti-aging skincare ingredients that de-puff and brighten tired eyes. I buy from SpaceNK.
Step 5 – Moisturizer
Lancome Energie de Vie Cream – A lovely, moisture rich, water-infused moisturizer. My dry skin drinks this up. Available at Lancome counters.
Step 6 – Protect
I wear SPF year-round even in winter. Currently, I’m using up a bunch of samples.
