For massive volume, go for got 2b POWDER’ful by Schwarzkopf. I’ve gone through several of these little bottles. It’s great on freshly washed hair for instantly grip and volume, 2nd day hair for lift, and for up-do’s too. Just sprinkle on your roots like a salt shaker and rub it in with your fingertips. It has a slightly sticky texture. It’s quite the performer! Available at drugstores and Ulta.
A glorious foot balm and hand cream. Glysomed Foot Balm: This is a wonderfully rich foot balm that contains shea butter, olive oil and peppermint oil. Glysomed is a Canadian based company that is easily found on Amazon and Walgreens. Herbacin Kamille Hand Cream: This rich, glycerin based hand cream comes in a tube or tin. It’s mildly scented and moisturizes beautifully. Herbacin is a German based company that’s been around
I’m in Las Vegas and it’s hot! Some of my summer favorites. RoC® Gommage Doux Lissant Soft Smoothing Scrub: I bought this exfoliating scrub in Canada and love it. This is the French version which has a few more ingredients than the US version but the they’re very similar. Not only does it work beautifully as an exfoliant, it smells incredible, like a combination of flowers and Love’s Baby Soft.
Check out these pre-soaped exfoliating body scrubbers from Spongeables. I usually keep one of each in my shower, the body scrubber and the foot scrubber. I’ve turned my friends onto them by giving them as gifts and they love them. Find them at Ulta.
Soap and Glory is a British beauty brand and one of my favorite lines. Their range of bath and body products are wonderful with scents to die for such as Sugar Crush. Bath and body products are easily found at Sephora or Amazon. Sexy Mother Pucker lip glosses and gloss sticks are awesome and carried by Sephora. Their complete cosmetic range is harder to get ahold of in the US.
Super performers from the French skincare line, Bioderma. Hydrabio Serum: I love this intensely hydrating serum and I use it before I apply moisturizer. It’s from their dry and dehydrated skin range which my parched skin loves. Bioderma Crealine H2O Micellar Solution: Hands down the best makeup remover on the market. Beauty bloggers and magazine editors have been banging on about this cleanser for years. Not only does it remove
Hits Blousey Shampoo by Lush: I loved this shampoo from one of my favorite brands, Lush. All Lush products are organic, handmade and vegan. The only negative thing I can say about Lush products is that they’re expensive, but then handmade, vegan products are going to cost a little more. I’m willing to pay for cruelty-free and they are truly wonderful to use! My brother’s dog, Willie got ahold of
This month turned me onto some new favorites as well as some old stand buys. Shiseido Facial Cotton: Hands down THE BEST cotton pads on the market. Do your face a favor and get your hands on a packet of these. They’re often sold out on the website and in stores. Once you try them, you’ll see why they can’t keep them in stock. Usually available where Shiseido is sold.
Take a trip across the border and discover a whole new world of beauty. I took such a trip recently and picked up loads of new products to try. Fortunately, some of these are readily found in stores or online but others are much harder to get a hold of in the US. I’ll post more in-depth reviews soon. Here’s a sneak peak. –Avene Thermal Spring Water –Bioderma Crealine H2O
