Brand Spotlight: No7 Top 3
One of the best affordable skincare brands available at the drugstore today is No7 Skincare. This UK company has been in the skincare business since 1935 and fortunately is now readily available to us in the US.
Their serums, arguably their most popular products, are packed with the same active and potent ingredients found in high-end (expensive) skincare brands where you are likely paying for a luxury name and fancy packaging.
Additionally, the line includes a wide range of moisturizers, creams, treatments, and makeup. I’m focusing this review on my Top 3 skincare recommendations from the brand. I haven’t played with their makeup enough to rank it however, I have a growing list of products from the line that I cannot wait to test.
Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum – This Matrixyl 3000 based serum is one of my all-time favorite serums. Matrixyl is an anti-aging peptide clinically proven to reduce fine lines. I see a noticeable difference in my skin with this highly-rated product.
Beautiful Skin Hydration Mask – I love this mask for my dry skin. I tend to reach for it on mornings when I don’t need to be anywhere right away. I apply it as soon as I wake up and keep it on until I’m ready to jump in the shower, sometimes for hours. It’s deeply moisturizing. You can also sleep in it for extra hydration.
Lift & Luminate Triple Action Serum – This is an excellent basic skincare serum. Not only does it contain Matrixyl 3000 to combat fine lines, but it also contains Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and plump the skin and Vitamin C to brighten a dull complexion.
No7 Restore & Renew Face & Neck Multi-Action Serum – I don’t believe in neck creams specifically. There’s little evidence to support much of the big claims and promises espoused by beauty companies regarding neck creams. The only ingredients clinically proven to help an aging neck is Vitamin A, and sunscreen. However, I still rate this serum for its inclusion of ceramides. My skin drank it up.
Restore & Renew Multi-Action Eye Cream – I also recommend this eye cream from my skincare routine earlier this year to anyone looking for an affordable option. It contains much of the same ingredients as the Restore & Renew serum which of course you can take right up around the eye. There would be no need to buy both.
