Brand Spotlight: Pixi Beauty Top 3
Pixi Beauty is a London based skincare and makeup brand. Its skincare range is affordable (most under $30) and infused with botanicals and skin-loving ingredients.
In the US, Pixi products can be found in Target and some drugstores. You can shop the entire range online. They offer free shipping on orders over $25. Pixi Beauty is also cruelty-free and does not test on animals.
I haven’t been overly impressed with the makeup line but the skincare line is brilliant. Creams are deeply nourishing without being too heavy. Mists and toners are hydrating, gentle and non-irritating. I’ve tested many products in the range. Below are my Top 3 recommendations as well as a couple of honorable mentions.
Hydrating Milky Mist: I love a fine facial mist. This hyaluronic acid mist has many uses; sandwich it in between steps in your skincare routine, before makeup for a boost of hydration, after makeup to spritz away any cakiness, and throughout the day to refresh. $15 Target
Pixi Peel & Polish: This enzyme peel and exfoliator is a more recent discovery. I quite like the fruity scent and it leaves my skin squeaky clean without feeling dry or tight. It exfoliates using lactic acid and fruit enzymes. $22 Target
Pixi Glow Tonic: This exfoliating toner has obtained cult status in the beauty world winning all kinds of awards. I’ve used it off and on for five years. At 5% glycolic, it’s gentle yet effective at removing dead skin cells and treating acne. $15 Target
Glowtion Day Dew: An illuminator and moisturizer in one, Glowtion Day Dew is lightweight, works great under makeup, and provides a subtle glow. $22 Pixi
Beauty Sleep Cream: My aging skin requires much more potent ingredients in a night cream but if all you need is a nourishing and hydrating night cream, this one is lovely. $24 Pixi
