Product Review: NYX Butter Gloss

NYX Butter Gloss As the name suggests, these buttery lip glosses are very moisturizing and comfortable to wear on the lips. I have the shades (L to R) Eclair, Maple Blonde, and Peach Cobbler.  I love them all and hope to grab a couple of others. Available at Ulta and Target for only $4.99 each. Gold flatware.  Takes some effort to care for but oh so beautiful. Follow Mad Chipmunk

Product Review: Baby Foot

Baby Foot I recommend you buy this product immediately.  I’ve done this treatment twice myself and have also bought it as a gift for several people.  It’s incredible and deserves all the hype. After soaking your feet in the provided booties for a couple of hours, the fruit acids get to work removing all of your dead skin.  It can take up to six days before you start to see

September Favorites

Just a few things I’m loving this month. NexGen Curling Iron by Hot Tools: I did some research on this before I bought it.  It gets great reviews and I agree.  I got the 1 1/4″ barrel.  Heats up fast and makes big, bouncy curls.  Available at Ulta. Mary-Lou Manizer by theBalm: A GREAT highlighter.  I had been using cream highlighters throughout the summer and just switched to this powder

August Favorites

Summer is finally over and I’m looking forward to cooler weather.  This month, I have a little bit of everything. Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie by Lush: I love the texture and light floral scent of this product.  You don’t need much so it lasts a long time.  One of my favorite Lush products. Intensive Nurturing Body Balm by Perlier: I got this in a sample box and am absolutely

Product Review: Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts

Wow.  These bath salts have developed a cult following and it’s no wonder.  They’re amazing.  Cult Beauty describes it as “a natural version of valium.”  That’s an apt description.  It also claims to treat insomnia and absorb radiation from mobile & computer use.  There’s no way to quantify a reduction in radiation but it treats insomnia like a dream.  This is a wonderful and luxurious sleepy time aide. The

Product Review: Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps

This family owned and operated company has been making soaps for over 150 years but sometimes we can forget how good they are.  Everything they make is organic, certified Free Trade, cruelty-free, and vegan.  Their renowned Castile Liquid Soaps can be used for washing the body, face or hair, as well as dishwashing, mopping the floor, and as a laundry soap.  They claim you can even brush your teeth with

Product Review: Sunday Riley’s Ceramic Slip Cleanser

I’ve been using this for three months now and it’s easily a favorite.  I love the texture, smell, and most importantly the squeaky clean feeling after I rinse it off.  It cleanses, detoxifies, and minimizes pores.  I included this in my June Favorites and noted my favorite part is the fact that it contains black pepper.  It’s a great find albeit expensive for a cleanser, $45.  Available at Cult

July Favorites

To the list – BUMBLE AND BUMBLE A Tint of Brown Hair Powder: I love this tinted dry shampoo.  It cost more than the tinted Batiste which I use regularly but it can cast a grayish residue and this does not.  Comes in various shades, available at Sephora for $36 and salons. Kerastase Initialiste Advanced Scalp & Hair Serum Concentrate: I’ve just started using this this month and it’s

Product Review: Airmotion Hair Brush & Tangle Teaser

These are my go to tools for brushing my tangled, wet hair. The Airmotion Hair Brush can be used on wet or dry hair.  You can find it on Amazon for about $20. My Tangle Teaser is much loved.  I’ve been using it going on two years now and wouldn’t be without one.  They’ve expanded into different shapes, styles, and colors.  You can find them in stores and online for

Product Review: PMD Personal Microderm

Finally, we’re able to save a little money on microdermabrasion sessions at the salon with the PMD Personal Microderm.  I’ve been testing this out for three months now and only have good things to say.  If you’ve got some stubborn hyper pigmentation and/or scars, it’s well worth the $179.00 investment to add this to your overall treatment plan. The kit also comes with an attachment for use on the
