Hall of Fame: Primers

I don’t use primers often but there are some that I think really make a difference in the final result of my make-up.  I have a dry skin so I go for primers that illuminate and brighten as opposed to ones targeting oil control or pore size.  LE BLANC DE CHANEL ILLUMINATING BASE does exactly what it says it does.  I love this under foundation.  I discovered Too Faced Hangover

Hall of Fame: Sunscreens

[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”5″ gal_title=”Sunscreens”] My favorite sunscreens in no particular order.  Many of these have been in my rotation for years because they meet all of my criteria for an SPF for the face.  1.  High percentage of SPF (30 minimum).  2.  Works great under make-up.  3.  Doesn’t seep into my eyes.  4.  Broad Spectrum, protects against UVA and UVB rays. Kiehl’s Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50+ – A longtime

Hall of Fame: Foundations

Here is a rundown of some of my most loved, most repurchased liquid foundations.  I try to avoid full coverage and powder foundations as I have aging, dry skin.  I’m wary of formulations that cake or settle into fine lines. My all-time favorite foundation is VITALUMIÈRE AQUA by CHANEL.  I’ve lost count the number I’ve gone through.  When I need an absolutely flawless skin, this is my go-to.  It’s a

Hall of Fame: Lip Balms & Treatments

My all-time favorite lip balms and treatments. I’ve been using Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream for years.  Some don’t care for the smell but I love it.  This can be used anywhere on the body to treat dry, cracked skin but I use it most as a lip treatment.  Available at most department stores.  It’s a real hero product. Lanolips is a recent discovery that I will repurchase.  The Lemonaid

Hall of Fame: Concealers

My all-time favorite concealers. Benefit’s Erase Paste (now called boi-ing brightening concealer) and Tarte’s CC Undereye Corrector are my favorites for covering dark circles.  I will continue to repurchase over and over again.  I use shade 1 Fair in Erase Paste.  Available at Benefit counters.  I use the shade light-medium in Tarte’s CC Corrector.  Available at Tarte displays. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind is my all-time favorite undereye concealer.  I’ll use

Better Than Sex by Too Faced – Terrible name, awesome product. Super-Sizer by CoverGirl – Easy to apply, solid results. Voluminous Original by L’Oreal – I’ve used this for years.  I try others and always come back. Bottom

Hall of Fame: After-Shower Body Oils

Three heroes in my book. This is about my fifth can of Vaseline Spray Moisturizer.  I’ve used all three varieties; cocoa butter, total moisture and this aloe version.  They are easy to use, super moisturizing and very affordable.  Available at drugstores. Goe Oil by Jao is pure luxury.  It’s expensive but you’ll relish every use.  Contains 28 plant, fruit, and flower oils and butters.  Made in Pennsylvania.  I encourage you to read

Hall of Fame: Eyeliners

These are my current favorite eye liner formulations and shades.  They all apply very, very smoothly, don’t tug on the eyes, and last all day. Clinique Quickliner in Intense Black Honey: An all time favorite and popular shade.  Love this dark, reddish brown. Tarte Skinny SmolderEYES in Moonstone Brown: Incredible formulation.  This is a cool dirty, black brown shade. Tarte Skinny SmolderEYES in Deep Amethyst: If I need a purple,
