Empties: Hits & Misses

I’m happy to say that this round of Empties were mostly all Hits.  Money well spent!

HITS

Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm by L’Oreal: A fantastic deep conditioner.  It really does what it claims to do.  My hair feels super soft and hydrated after using this.  It’s also a great buy, usually on offer at drugstores.

Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner by Healthy Sexy Hair: Another great hair product.  I can’t get a comb through my hair without a leave-in conditioner so I’ve tried loads.  This one doesn’t have a built in heat protectant so I would use it on days when I didn’t use hot tools.  Available at Target and Ulta.

Nivea Cream Tin: Super rich and lovely.  Available at drugstores for about a dollar.

Herbacin Kamille Hand Cream: A rich and creamy hand cream.  It’s also organic and paraben-free.  I’ve written about this Canadian range before.  Available on Amazon.

IPKN New York: I got this sample in a beauty box and was very disappointed that the shade was too dark for me because I absolutely loved the product.  Contains ceramide, collagen, and Vitamin E and an SPF 45.  Apparently there is gold in it as well.  Great BB cream.  I received the shade Light and it was too dark.  I’ll have to try the their lightest shade which is Fair.  Available online.

All About Eyes Serum by Clinique: A wonderful de-puffer.  It has a cooling metal roller ball that really wakes you up in the morning, and this little tube lasted for months. Available at Clinique counters.

EYEKO London Black Magic Mascara: Big fan of EYEKO mascaras.  All of their brushes are different and I liked this one a lot.  Available at Sephora.

PHILOSOPHY Hope In A Jar Night: I’m going to call this night cream a hit because I loved the effect on my skin.  It’s a wonderful product chocked full of good skincare ingredients.  However, I don’t think I’d purchase because I couldn’t stand the smell.  Give it a try next time you’re in a store.  If it doesn’t bother you, buy it.  It’s good.

Rosa Arctica Eye Cream by Kiehl’s: Awesome eye cream.  I noticed a difference with just this small sample.  I will definitely buy next time I make a Kiehl’s purchase.  Read more about it at Kiehl’s.

Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50: Wow! Another suburb product from one of my all time favorite ranges.  This sunscreen has an SPF of 50 yet it’s massively sheer and tinted.  Goes on like a dream and works great under make-up.  I squeezed every bit out of this tube and will buy the full size. Amazon has the best prices that I’ve found.

MISSES

Purete Thermale 3-in-1 Calming Cleansing Solution by Vichy: It just didn’t remove all of my mascara and/or eyeliner.  If a cleanser doesn’t do that, I can’t be bothered.

Luster Now! Whitening Toothpaste: I liked this just fine but I didn’t notice any whitening.  It’s blue which is supposed to bring out white but I was underwhelmed.
