Hall of Fame: Sunscreens

My favorite sunscreens in no particular order.  Many of these have been in my rotation for years because they meet all of my criteria for an SPF for the face.  1.  High percentage of SPF (30 minimum).  2.  Works great under make-up.  3.  Doesn’t seep into my eyes.  4.  Broad Spectrum, protects against UVA and UVB rays.

Kiehl’s Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50+ – A longtime favorite.  Light in formula, it’s an all around great choice.

Neova DNA Damage Control Silc Sheer 2.0 SPF 40 – I’ve been using this off and on for over six years.  My aesthetician first introduced this to me and I usually buy one from her once a year when I see her for facials.  Also available online

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Face Sunscreen SPF 60 – Another solid choice with a high SPF and one that I’ve repurchased.  Easily found in drugstores or online

Clarins UV PLUS Anti-Pollution Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 – Great choice and one I continue to use and recommend.  Available at Clarins counters.

Farm Stay Horse Oil UV Defense Sun Cream SPF 50 PA+++– My most recent discovery.  It’s Korean and difficult to find but if you have a K-Beauty locale, see if they carry it.  While I use this under my make-up, note that this is the heaviest formulation of all of these sunscreens listed here and that I have dry skin.  It’s not a good option for an oily skin.
