My all-time favorite lip balms and treatments.
I’ve been using Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream for years. Some don’t care for the smell but I love it. This can be used anywhere on the body to treat dry, cracked skin but I use it most as a lip treatment. Available at most department stores. It’s a real hero product.
Lanolips is a recent discovery that I will repurchase. The Lemonaid Lip Treatment is my favorite. Incredibly moisturizing and I love the taste. I bought mine at Nordstrom.
This is my second tube of Dr. Lipp. Originally created as a nipple cream for breastfeeding mothers, it’s deeply rich and moisturizing. This little tube will last months. Available online.
LA MER, The Lip Balm. I’m reluctant to recommend this due to its eye-popping price tag but I have to admit, it’s incredible. There is something magic about it. It’s rich, very moisturizing and it’s matte which I like a lot. All of you lip balm connoisseurs out there wanting a real treat can find it wherever LA MER is sold.
I almost always have one of these Clarins Lip Perfectors stashed in various handbags and pockets. It is the only lip balm I’ve listed here that is tinted. There is a wide range of sheer shades. I also love them because you don’t need mirror to apply which is great when you want to slip a lip color into your pocket and go.
Honorable mention: I’m on my second pot of NUXE Nourishing Lip Balm. I keep it on my bedside table and use it at night. However, it crystalizes pretty quickly and that can be annoying. It’s a fantastic balm if you can deal with the changing texture. NUXE is a wonderful French pharmacy brand with a luxurious range that’s readily available online.
