Hall of Fame: Matrixyl Serums

Matrixyl is a peptide combination invented and trademarked in France. Its development was a breakthrough in anti-aging technology and it’s found in hundreds of skincare products.

There are three types, or generations: Matrixyl™, Matrixyl™ 3000, and Matrixyl™ synthe’6. One is not necessarily better than the other. My skin benefits greatly from any or all combinations which is why I include it regularly into my regimen.

Matrixyl signals your body to produce more elastin and collagen, and when it is combined with other peptides and Hyaluronic Acid in a daily serum, you’re really covering the bases. It’s one of my favorite skincare ingredients and as a bonus, it’s very affordable. Below are some of my top picks.

Hylamide SubQ-Age – This serum contains Hyaluronic Acid, Matrixyl, and a mix of other peptides. My skin has always reacted positively to Hylamide. My skin texture is improved and it helps fight dryness and fatigue. Always appreciated. Affordable and available at DECIEM.

Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum by No7 – You really can’t go wrong with any serum by No7 but this one is my favorite and the one with which I noticed the most positive results. It’s Matrixyl 3000 heavy plus extra peptides and my skin loves it. Available at drugstores.

Matrixes 3000 Serum by Timeless – A no-bones, effective, and affordable option. Timeless is available on Amazon.

No7 Lift & Luminate TRIPLE ACTION Serum – This serum is a bit of a classic now. It is an Allure Beauty Award Winner and it’s the first No7 serum I ever used. I have to include it here because it’s a solid choice; helps improve the tone and texture of the skin, addresses fine lines, dark spots, and firmness. Excellent. Available at drugstores.
