I’ve been using cleansing balms in my skincare regimen for over five years now. Using a balm for your cleansing step can simply be an alternative or preference to cream cleansers as they can remove every trace of makeup in one cleanse and give your skin a boost of nourishment. However, I tend to reach for them when I want to take a little more time cleansing my skin. I use them exclusively at night with a washcloth to breakdown and wipe away all makeup and pollution from the day. They leave my skin feeling hydrated and nourished, never greasy.
Heimish All Clean Balm – This K-Beauty cleansing balm is a fairly new discovery for me. It’s the least expensive of the balms listed here but its effectiveness is on par with the others. It has a medicinal smell that doesn’t bother me but it doesn’t feel as luxurious to use as some of these others that contain deliciously scented oils. I will definitely repurchase this.
Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm by Clinique: This is a solid white, completely fragrance-free cleansing balm that works like a dream. Available at Clinique counters everywhere, it is a good choice for anyone with sensitive skin.
Moringa Cleansing Balm by Emma Hardie: My all-time favorite cleansing balm is this one by Emma Hardie. As you can see it’s well-used and well-loved. It contains moringa seed extract, jasmine, cedarwood, rose, sweet almond oil, orange peel oil, and many more skin-loving ingredients.
OMOROVICZA Thermal Cleansing Balm – A most divine cleansing balm is this one from the luxurious OMOROVICZA skincare range. It contains Hungarian moor mud, calcium, magnesium and scented with orange blossom oil. The price tag will stop the heart but it is wonderful.
OSKIA Micro Exfoliating Balm – OSKIA makes a wonderful cleansing balm sans exfoliating beads but this if my preferred choice. It contains the same wonderful cleansing and nourishing oils and ingredients with the finest micro-exfoliating particles that leave my skin feeling ultra clean and bright.
