January Favorites! Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer: Absolutely love these. I’ve become too lazy to put on body lotion with my hands! I bought a 3 pack at Costco of this scent and have also tried the aloe version. Available at drugstores. Wonder Cloth: My favorite washcloth for removing all makeup. Great texture and doesn’t seem to stain even after removing jet black eye make-up. Available here. Nads Facial Wax
Much loved (and very worn) June Favorites! Pureology Pure Volume Shampoo: I absolutely love this shampoo and will definitely keep buying it. It’s taking me months to get through this giant bottle. It’s from the pink range for fine, color-treated hair and I love the way by hair styles after I use it. Pureology is also a vegan brand. Available in salons and Ulta. Ojon Dry Recovery Revitalizing Moisture Mist:
Another month of favorites and another addition to the vintage cookbook collection. The Delectable Past is a delightful cookbook of Old World and Early American recipes. To my favorites! Caviar Overnight Hair Rescue by Alterna: This super moisturizing hair mask does wonders for my hair. You massage it in before bed and wash it out in the morning for super soft hair. Available at Ulta and Sephora. Illamasqua blusher in
I’m still in Winter mode although it’s technically Spring. Here are some of my favorites this month. Inglot palette: I went to Inglot at the beginning of March and put together this little palette that I’ve worn most of the month. I particular like this copper, bronze shade with a little dab of the brick red in the center of the eyelid. The other two are a charcoal color and
I recently visited The Vermont Country Store which has been around since 1946 and specializing in products from yesteryear. This place is really neat and makes for a super fun road trip. I picked up several things that I remember from my childhood and others that looked interesting to try. Pinaud Clubman Talc: This is sold as a man’s talc but I loved the men’s cologne scent. They’ve been making
Merry Christmas! It’s time for December Favorites! NARS Guy Bourdin Limited Edition One Night Stand Cheek Palette: A Christmas present I bought for myself and it’s AMAZING. It was limited edition so if you want it, you’ll have to hunt eBay for it. It has four great blushes, a bronzer, and a highlighter in one tidy palette. Love it! Tom Ford Black Orchid Cologne: I bought this in September and have been
I have to start with this cool reproduction of a famous Bernard Buffet painting I picked up at an estate sale last month in Connecticut. I just love it. Caudalie Beauty Elixir: Caudalie’s best selling spray water. Contains Grape, Orange Blossom, Rose, Mint, and Rosemary. I use this as a toner before moisturizer and when I need a little pick me up. It smells amazing. And as with most beauty waters,
Phyx Intense Overnight Repair Masque by Kronos: I discovered this hair mask about five years ago and I’m so happy that I did. It’s terrific. If you doubt me, note that it holds The Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval for #1 overnight hair treatment. Amazon has the best price. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream: My favorite drugstore BB cream to date. Applies like a sheer and creamy tinted moisturizer.
I’m still in Las Vegas and it’s still hot! Sebastian Trilliant Thermal Protection and Sparkle Complex Spray: I use a heat protectant every time I use a hot tool on my hair and rotate a few products. The last couple of months, I’ve been using this one. I doesn’t provide a ton of shine on me but it does give me some body and I like it as a heat
I’m in Las Vegas and it’s hot! Some of my summer favorites. RoC® Gommage Doux Lissant Soft Smoothing Scrub: I bought this exfoliating scrub in Canada and love it. This is the French version which has a few more ingredients than the US version but the they’re very similar. Not only does it work beautifully as an exfoliant, it smells incredible, like a combination of flowers and Love’s Baby Soft.
