Summer is finally over and I’m looking forward to cooler weather. This month, I have a little bit of everything. Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie by Lush: I love the texture and light floral scent of this product. You don’t need much so it lasts a long time. One of my favorite Lush products. Intensive Nurturing Body Balm by Perlier: I got this in a sample box and am absolutely
To the list – BUMBLE AND BUMBLE A Tint of Brown Hair Powder: I love this tinted dry shampoo. It cost more than the tinted Batiste which I use regularly but it can cast a grayish residue and this does not. Comes in various shades, available at Sephora for $36 and salons. Kerastase Initialiste Advanced Scalp & Hair Serum Concentrate: I’ve just started using this this month and it’s
Much loved (and very worn) June Favorites! Pureology Pure Volume Shampoo: I absolutely love this shampoo and will definitely keep buying it. It’s taking me months to get through this giant bottle. It’s from the pink range for fine, color-treated hair and I love the way by hair styles after I use it. Pureology is also a vegan brand. Available in salons and Ulta. Ojon Dry Recovery Revitalizing Moisture
Another month of favorites and another addition to the vintage cookbook collection. The Delectable Past is a delightful cookbook of Old World and Early American recipes. To my favorites! Caviar Overnight Hair Rescue by Alterna: This super moisturizing hair mask does wonders for my hair. You massage it in before bed and wash it out in the morning for super soft hair. Available at Ulta and Sephora. Illamasqua blusher
Voluminous Butterfly Mascara by L’OREAL: It took me a couple of tries to master the wand but once I did, I got massive lashes. The regular Voluminous mascara has long been one of my favorites so I new that I would like the formulation. Give it a go! Available at drugstores or online. Found this cast iron statue of Ulysses S. Grant at an estate sale recently.
My favorites this month has to be the cool stuff I bought at IMATS NYC. I’ve been using everything here this month except for the lashes. Hakuhodo Makeup Brushes and Case: The primary reason I went to IMATS was to buy these brushes. They are the finest brushes I’ve ever owned and I love using them! Each one is handmade in Japan. They’re unbelievably soft. Expensive and worth it.
I took advantage of Ulta’s 20% discount event. Always the best time to pick up my favorite products and try a few new ones at a discounted price. Batiste Dry Shampoo: My favorite budget dry shampoo. I’ve gone through more cans than I can count. I use the dark brown shade. John Frieda Luminous Glaze: This is a clear shine hair gloss. I’ve never tried this before but I look
I’m still in Winter mode although it’s technically Spring. Here are some of my favorites this month. Inglot palette: I went to Inglot at the beginning of March and put together this little palette that I’ve worn most of the month. I particular like this copper, bronze shade with a little dab of the brick red in the center of the eyelid. The other two are a charcoal color
My favorite products this month. Lotion Yon-Ka – Dry Skin Toner: My aesthetician swears by Yon-Ka, a French skincare brand, and sells the line in her office. I use a few toners/waters in rotation depending on what my skin needs. I use this hydrating one in the morning which contains Lavender Oil, Geranium Flower Oil, Rosemary Leaf Oil, Cypress Oil, and Thyme Oil. Buy from Dermstore here with free
It’s been talked to death by beauty bloggers everywhere and still retains cult status. The shadows are rich and pigmented. You can get a thousand looks from this one palette and it’s my favorite to travel with for this reason. All Urban Decay products are cruelty-free and vegan. Available at Sephora and Ulta. $52.
