Haircare Favorites & A Few Duds

Some of the best hair care products I have ever used and I have used a lot. Including hair masks and rich and creamy conditioners. I keep a running list of haircare winners and losers on a post called Haircare Graveyard. I’ve spent a lot of money over the years searching for the best products for my hair in every haircare category imaginable. The Haircare Graveyard helps me remember which

My Favorite Travel Rollers

If you’re in the market for travel rollers, I recommend the T3 Voluminous Hot Rollers.  You get eight (4 x 1.75″ rollers and 4 x 1.50″) flocked rollers packed in a black travel case.  They heat up quickly and provide body and bouncy curls at home or on the go.  Remember to roll your hair smoothly onto the roller and leave in until cool. There are some negative reviews on

Haircare Graveyard

THE GRAVEYARD.  I probably spend more money resulting in the most disappointment on haircare than any other beauty product.  I update this post regularly.  To the rundown: THE WINNERS.Haircare products that I loved and will/have repurchase(d). The Caviar line is excellent, and I love the smell of Klorane dry shampoo. Few shampoos for color treated hair truly protect my color.  Color Proof is one as is this from Biolage.  Mane

April Favorites

My favorites this past month. Crack Original Styling Treatment: Love this leave in treatment that reduces frizz, protects from heat, and adds shine.  Smells great also.  Available online or Ulta. Elnett Hairspray: The. Best. At drugstores. Dry Wax by AG Hair Care: This is a new product for me that I’ve incorporated into my daily use.  Used sparingly, I love the texture it adds to styled hair.  At Ulta. Koh

September Favorites

Just a few things I’m loving this month. NexGen Curling Iron by Hot Tools: I did some research on this before I bought it.  It gets great reviews and I agree.  I got the 1 1/4″ barrel.  Heats up fast and makes big, bouncy curls.  Available at Ulta. Mary-Lou Manizer by theBalm: A GREAT highlighter.  I had been using cream highlighters throughout the summer and just switched to this powder

July Favorites

To the list – BUMBLE AND BUMBLE A Tint of Brown Hair Powder: I love this tinted dry shampoo.  It cost more than the tinted Batiste which I use regularly but it can cast a grayish residue and this does not.  Comes in various shades, available at Sephora for $36 and salons. Kerastase Initialiste Advanced Scalp & Hair Serum Concentrate: I’ve just started using this this month and it’s

Product Review: Airmotion Hair Brush & Tangle Teaser

These are my go to tools for brushing my tangled, wet hair. The Airmotion Hair Brush can be used on wet or dry hair.  You can find it on Amazon for about $20. My Tangle Teaser is much loved.  I’ve been using it going on two years now and wouldn’t be without one.  They’ve expanded into different shapes, styles, and colors.  You can find them in stores and online for

Product Review: Olia Hair Color & Vintage Cookbooks!

Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color by Garnier: This is now my absolute favorite drugstore hair color.  I love it.  It claims to be infused with flower oils and my hair responds well to much needed moisture.  The color is vivid and applies evenly.  My hair was shiny and lasted a good 3 weeks before I needed a touch up.  $9.99 at Ulta or other drugstores.   Cookbooks have long been

March Favorites

I’m still in Winter mode although it’s technically Spring.  Here are some of my favorites this month. Inglot palette: I went to Inglot at the beginning of March and put together this little palette that I’ve worn most of the month.  I particular like this copper, bronze shade with a little dab of the brick red in the center of the eyelid.  The other two are a charcoal color
