I’m happy to say that this round of Empties were mostly all Hits.  Money well spent! HITS Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm by L’Oreal: A fantastic deep conditioner.  It really does what it claims to do.  My hair feels super soft and hydrated after using this.  It’s also a great buy, usually on offer at drugstores. Product Review: Olia Hair Color & Vintage Cookbooks!

Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color by Garnier: This is now my absolute favorite drugstore hair color.  I love it.  It claims to be infused with flower oils and my hair responds well to much needed moisture.  The color is vivid and applies evenly.  My hair was shiny and lasted a good 3 weeks before I needed a touch up.  $9.99 at Ulta or other drugstores.   Cookbooks have long been

Empties: Hits & Misses

The Hits! skin resurfacing cleanser by dermalogica: One of my all time favorite cleansers.  Loaded with lactic acid, it’s one of the best exfoliating cleansers I’ve tried.  It has a slight tingling sensation that always makes me feel like it’s working.  Available at Sephora, Ulta or online. 2Sexy Voluptous Volume Hairspray: Love this hairspray!  It’s lightweight enough to use as a booster by spraying a little into your roots

I’ve never tried this before but I look

March Favorites

I’m still in Winter mode although it’s technically Spring.  Here are some of my favorites this month. Inglot palette: I went to Inglot at the beginning of March and put together this little palette that I’ve worn most of the month.  I particular like this copper, bronze shade with a little dab of the brick red in the center of the eyelid.  The other two are a charcoal color

November Favorites

I have to start with this cool reproduction of a famous Bernard Buffet painting I picked up at an estate sale last month in Connecticut.  I just love it. Caudalie Beauty Elixir: Caudalie’s best selling spray water.  Contains Grape, Orange Blossom, Rose, Mint, and Rosemary.  I use this as a toner before moisturizer and when I need a little pick me up.  It smells amazing.  And as with most beauty

Product Review: Oribe haircare

Beautiful hair sometimes comes with a heart attack price tag.  The Oribe (pronounced OR-bay) haircare range fits this description.  These two products are amazing.  I have a tendency to save them for my more “special” hair days and I’m never disappointed. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray: Gives styled hair a big boost of body and texture.  Fab product, painful at $42 for a full size bottle. Supershine Moisturizing Cream: I
