Talking Palettes

I am long overdue for an edit and declutter of my eyeshadow palettes.  I’m a huge fan of palettes because you almost always get more for your money considering a single eyeshadow can average $6.00 at the drugstore, MAC eyeshadows are $17.00 each, and more for single luxury eyeshadows.  Armani single eyeshadows are a whopping $32.00 a piece.   Having said that, I’ve vowed not to buy any new palettes

Makeup Favorites: July 2018

This has been my makeup routine as of late.  It may seem burdensome but I can do it in ten minutes if I need to. NEUTROGENA Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint – An excellent light coverage foundation that leaves my skin looking hydrated.  This is supposed to be a dupe for La Mer’s Soft Fluid foundation that costs $120.   I tested it and they are very similar.  Both are light

Pharmacy: London Boots

I had so much fun cruising through Boots while in London. Grabbed some new items to try.  Sexy Mother Pucker is a long time favorite.  I hope the entire range eventually makes it the U.S.  So many more products available! I love this foot exfoliator and exfoliating cleanser! Max Factor was started in 1909 by a Polish-born make-up artist of the same name.  It left the U.S. market a few years

Hall of Fame: Primers

I don’t use primers often but there are some that I think really make a difference in the final result of my make-up.  I have a dry skin so I go for primers that illuminate and brighten as opposed to ones targeting oil control or pore size.  LE BLANC DE CHANEL ILLUMINATING BASE does exactly what it says it does.  I love this under foundation.  I discovered Too Faced Hangover

Hall of Fame: Foundations

Here is a rundown of some of my most loved, most repurchased liquid foundations.  I try to avoid full coverage and powder foundations as I have aging, dry skin.  I’m wary of formulations that cake or settle into fine lines. My all-time favorite foundation is VITALUMIÈRE AQUA by CHANEL.  I’ve lost count the number I’ve gone through.  When I need an absolutely flawless skin, this is my go-to.  It’s a

Hall of Fame: Concealers

My all-time favorite concealers. Benefit’s Erase Paste (now called boi-ing brightening concealer) and Tarte’s CC Undereye Corrector are my favorites for covering dark circles.  I will continue to repurchase over and over again.  I use shade 1 Fair in Erase Paste.  Available at Benefit counters.  I use the shade light-medium in Tarte’s CC Corrector.  Available at Tarte displays. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind is my all-time favorite undereye concealer.  I’ll use

Some goodies from my French pharmacy shopping spree.  Separate reviews coming.

My favorites this past month. Crack Original Styling Treatment: Love this leave in treatment that reduces frizz, protects from heat, and adds shine.  Smells great also.  Available online or Ulta. Dry Wax by AG Hair Care: This is a new product for me that I’ve incorporated into my daily use.  Used sparingly, I love the texture it adds to styled hair.  At Ulta. Koh
