My Favorites this month. Yon-Ka Paris Cleansing Cream: A wonderful cleanser that I’ve been using exclusively in the mornings. Its calming formula is great for sensitive, dry skin and rosacea. It also contains refreshing peppermint which is why I like to use it in the morning. Wonderful brand. Available through aestheticians or online. MISSHA Complexion Coordinating BB Cream: My favorite Korean brand. This is a medium to full coverage BB
ColourPop Cosmetics What it claims to do? Los Angeles based ColourPop “specialize in making killer makeup in every shade imaginable at prices everyone can afford. That’s why all of our products have luxury formulas at prices that won’t break the bank.” Do I agree? Yes. ColourPop has an amazing color selection and a wide range of quality cosmetics. The single shadows pots and Lippie Stix are only $5.00 each.
Lipstick Queen Liptropolis Lipstick Queen is one of my favorite lipstick ranges. This set contains three beautiful shades. If you’re familiar with Lipstick Queen you’ll know that the Sinners range is opaque in finish and the Saints range is sheer in finish. This set lies somewhere in between. Available where Lipstick Queen is sold. Top to Bottom: Soho, Central Park, Upper East Love this liner in Coral. Quote from
January Favorites! Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer: Absolutely love these. I’ve become too lazy to put on body lotion with my hands! I bought a 3 pack at Costco of this scent and have also tried the aloe version. Available at drugstores. Wonder Cloth: My favorite washcloth for removing all makeup. Great texture and doesn’t seem to stain even after removing jet black eye make-up. Available here. Nads Facial Wax
December Favorites! ExfoliKate® Intensive Exfoliating Treatment by Kate Somerville: A wonderful exfoliant. Read my review from last month. Available at Sephora. Original Nipple Balm for Lips by Dr. Lipp: That’s right. Originally made as a nipple treatment for breastfeeding mothers. I love the deeply moisturizing texture. I use it at night. Available at SPACE.NK. Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector: One of the best lip balms on the market. You’ll never
Much loved (and very worn) June Favorites! Pureology Pure Volume Shampoo: I absolutely love this shampoo and will definitely keep buying it. It’s taking me months to get through this giant bottle. It’s from the pink range for fine, color-treated hair and I love the way by hair styles after I use it. Pureology is also a vegan brand. Available in salons and Ulta. Ojon Dry Recovery Revitalizing Moisture
Another month of favorites and another addition to the vintage cookbook collection. The Delectable Past is a delightful cookbook of Old World and Early American recipes. To my favorites! Caviar Overnight Hair Rescue by Alterna: This super moisturizing hair mask does wonders for my hair. You massage it in before bed and wash it out in the morning for super soft hair. Available at Ulta and Sephora. Illamasqua blusher
I’m happy to say that this round of Empties were mostly all Hits. Money well spent! HITS Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm by L’Oreal: A fantastic deep conditioner. It really does what it claims to do. My hair feels super soft and hydrated after using this. It’s also a great buy, usually on offer at drugstores. Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner by Healthy Sexy Hair: Another great hair product. I
I’ve been using these two products for over three months now and have a pretty good impression overall. Creamy Concealer Kit: I started out using this under my eyes as it claims to hide dark circles and brighten but I really had to blot it in and it sat in my fine lines. I’m sure it’s brilliant on younger skin. However, I do like it as a general concealer
I’m a big fan of repurposing old things into my modern daily life. I love these Italian planters and silver vase. These three hold my make-up brushes. A little cleaning and polish goes a long way and always brings out the beauty under any dirt or tarnish.
