January Favorites

Happy New Year!  Here are a few of my favorites for January. Dew Me Moisturizing Makeup Setting Spray by Urban Decay: Having dry skin, I prefer to use a spray rather than powder to set my makeup.  This one is great.  Your makeup will stay in place throughout the workday or evening.  And, your skin will glow!  This is not a matte finish hence the name, Dew Me!  Available at Sephora

Product Review: Naked Palette by Urban Decay

It’s been talked to death by beauty bloggers everywhere and still retains cult status.  The shadows are rich and pigmented.  You can get a thousand looks from this one palette and it’s my favorite to travel with for this reason. All Urban Decay products are cruelty-free and vegan. Available at Sephora and Ulta.  $52.

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag

  1. Greed What is your most expensive beauty item?  My most expensive beauty product has to be my Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate which I talked about in my October Favorites.  It cost $75.  It’s a beautiful, product!  Also, my GHD straightener which I think I got on sale for $160.   Merry Christmas!  It’s time for December Favorites! NARS Guy Bourdin Limited Edition One Night Stand Cheek Palette: A Christmas present I bought for myself and it’s AMAZING.  It was limited edition so if you want it, you’ll have to hunt eBay for it.  It has four great blushes, a bronzer, and a highlighter in one tidy palette.  Love it!   Tom Ford Black Orchid Cologne: I bought this in September and

Phyx Intense Overnight Repair Masque by Kronos: I discovered this hair mask about five years ago and I’m so happy that I did.  It’s terrific.  If you doubt me, note that it holds The Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval for #1 overnight hair treatment.  Amazon has the best price. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream: My favorite drugstore BB cream to date.  Applies like a sheer and creamy tinted

Empties: Hits & Misses

There aren’t any “misses” in this round of Empties or Products I’ve used up.  That means money well spent! Sally Hansen Wax Strip Kit Brow/Face/Bikni: Fabulous little home waxing kit.  This works.  You may still need to tweeze a couple of stubborn hairs but this $6 kit is perfect between salon visits.  Pick it up at any drugstore or Ulta. Clarins Advanced Extra Firming Eye Contour Serum: I’ve been using

September Favorites

I’m still in Las Vegas and it’s still hot! Sebastian Trilliant Thermal Protection and Sparkle Complex Spray: I use a heat protectant every time I use a hot tool on my hair and rotate a few products.  The last couple of months, I’ve been using this one.  I doesn’t provide a ton of shine on me but it does give me some body and I like it as a heat

August Favorites

I’m in Las Vegas and it’s hot!  Some of my summer favorites. RoCĀ® Gommage Doux Lissant Soft Smoothing Scrub: I bought this exfoliating scrub in Canada and love it.  This is the French version which has a few more ingredients than the US version but the they’re very similar.  Not only does it work beautifully as an exfoliant, it smells incredible, like a combination of flowers and Love’s Baby
