Product Review: Cleansing Balms

Oil based cleansing balms are an absolute must in my daily cleansing regimen.  If you want to get every trace of eye makeup off in one cleanse and give your skin a boost of nourishment, switch to cleansing balms.  Don’t be put off by the word “oil.”  Our skin needs it.  These balms wash off completely, along with any stubborn mascara, and leaves your skin feeling hydrated and nourished, not

Product Review: DIOR Crème de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm

I’ve been wanting to try this lip balm for years.  I use Dior’s Creme Abricot nail cream so I’m surprised it’s taken me this long.  It is a slightly plumping, wonderful lip balm.  I keep it by my bed and use it every morning and night.  It has a faint rose smell that’s very nice.  It’s a splurge at $27 but a luxurious gift for your lips. Available at Sephora

Product Review: Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

The Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler acquired cult status years ago and is still the top selling curler today.  This is one of my most essential beauty tools and it still gives my lashes great curl after years of use. At one time it was sold in stores but now you can only get it direct from Shu Uemura for $20.

Product Review: Oribe haircare

Beautiful hair sometimes comes with a heart attack price tag.  The Oribe (pronounced OR-bay) haircare range fits this description.  These two products are amazing.  I have a tendency to save them for my more “special” hair days and I’m never disappointed. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray: Gives styled hair a big boost of body and texture.  Fab product, painful at $42 for a full size bottle. Supershine Moisturizing Cream: I

Product Review: EFFACLAR DUO Acne Treatment

This acne treatment by La Roche-Posay kept popping up in magazines I was reading and getting rave reviews.  I picked up a tube to have on hand for the occasional breakout.  Having used it for several months now, I see what the fuss is all about.  It definitely cuts the healing time drastically.  Contains 5.5% Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid, both essential in reducing the severity of acne and

Product Review: Something for our hands and feet

A glorious foot balm and hand cream. Herbacin Kamille Hand Cream: This rich, glycerin based hand cream comes in a tube or tin.  It’s mildly scented and moisturizes beautifully.  Herbacin is a German based company that’s been

Product Review: Spongeables

Check out these pre-soaped exfoliating body scrubbers from Spongeables.  I usually keep one of each in my shower, the body scrubber and the foot scrubber.  I’ve turned my friends onto them by giving them as gifts and they love them. Find them at Ulta.

Product Review: Soap and Glory

Soap and Glory is a British beauty brand and one of my favorite lines.  Their range of bath and body products are wonderful with scents to die for such as Sugar Crush.  Bath and body products are easily found at Sephora or Amazon.  Sexy Mother Pucker lip glosses and gloss sticks are awesome and carried by Sephora.  Their complete cosmetic range is harder to get ahold of in the

Product Review: Bioderma

Super performers from the French skincare line, Bioderma. Hydrabio Serum: I love this intensely hydrating serum and I use it before I apply moisturizer.  It’s from their dry and dehydrated skin range which my parched skin loves. Bioderma Crealine H2O Micellar Solution: Hands down the best makeup remover on the market.  Beauty bloggers and magazine editors have been banging on about this cleanser for years.  Not only does it
