Some of my favorite products and unique shades to use for a green eye look. 24 hr Color Tattoo in the shade Ready, Set, Green: This is a great long lasting base for shadow or worn alone. These can dry out quickly but I can usually wipe off the top layer and use it what is underneath with no problem. This shade seems to be unavailable but this one is
Summer is finally over and I’m looking forward to cooler weather. This month, I have a little bit of everything. Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie by Lush: I love the texture and light floral scent of this product. You don’t need much so it lasts a long time. One of my favorite Lush products. Intensive Nurturing Body Balm by Perlier: I got this in a sample box and am absolutely
I’ve been using this for three months now and it’s easily a favorite. I love the texture, smell, and most importantly the squeaky clean feeling after I rinse it off. It cleanses, detoxifies, and minimizes pores. I included this in my June Favorites and noted my favorite part is the fact that it contains black pepper. It’s a great find albeit expensive for a cleanser, $45. Available at Cult
To the list – BUMBLE AND BUMBLE A Tint of Brown Hair Powder: I love this tinted dry shampoo. It cost more than the tinted Batiste which I use regularly but it can cast a grayish residue and this does not. Comes in various shades, available at Sephora for $36 and salons. Kerastase Initialiste Advanced Scalp & Hair Serum Concentrate: I’ve just started using this this month and it’s
More Empties! Hits Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant by AVEDA: A very nice toner. It exfoliates with salicylic acid for a smoother and clearer complexion. Available at Aveda salons everywhere. They’ve been selling this product for many years. Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment by GlamGlow: As I said in my June Favorites post, “Wow!” This is an awesome mask and I’ve already ordered a new one. Available at Sephora. Cult! Neutrogena Age Shield Face
I’ve been using these two products for over three months now and have a pretty good impression overall. Creamy Concealer Kit: I started out using this under my eyes as it claims to hide dark circles and brighten but I really had to blot it in and it sat in my fine lines. I’m sure it’s brilliant on younger skin. However, I do like it as a general concealer
Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color by Garnier: This is now my absolute favorite drugstore hair color. I love it. It claims to be infused with flower oils and my hair responds well to much needed moisture. The color is vivid and applies evenly. My hair was shiny and lasted a good 3 weeks before I needed a touch up. $9.99 at Ulta or other drugstores. Cookbooks have long been
I’m a big fan of repurposing old things into my modern daily life. I love these Italian planters and silver vase. These three hold my make-up brushes. A little cleaning and polish goes a long way and always brings out the beauty under any dirt or tarnish.
Voluminous Butterfly Mascara by L’OREAL: It took me a couple of tries to master the wand but once I did, I got massive lashes. The regular Voluminous mascara has long been one of my favorites so I new that I would like the formulation. Give it a go! Available at drugstores or online. Found this cast iron statue of Ulysses S. Grant at an estate sale recently.
I think I need to start a new Hall of Fame category on my blog just so I can put this product in it. It’s amazing. Clarins calls its Beauty Flash Balm an Instant Radiance Booster and that’s exactly what it is. This immediately brightens my skin and makes me look a little more awake (or alive on some days). I also like to use it if I’m going out
