January Favorites

Happy New Year!  Here are a few of my favorites for January.

Dew Me Moisturizing Makeup Setting Spray by Urban Decay: Having dry skin, I prefer to use a spray rather than powder to set my makeup.  This one is great.  Your makeup will stay in place throughout the workday or evening.  And, your skin will glow!  This is not a matte finish hence the name, Dew Me!  Available at Sephora and Ulta.

Lovely Jubblies by Lush: I pretty much love everything by Lush and this is one of my all time favorites.  I’m on my second pot of Lovely Jubblies.  This is sold as a breast cream but I like to use it on my chest, décolletage and neck.  Wherever you decide to put it is good because it’s chalked full of wonderful skincare ingredients like tiger lily, beeswax, organic almond oil, avocado oil, orange blossom, rose, jasmine and ylang ylang.  It’s expensive, $25.95 for a small pot but a nice treat for your breasts.  Available at any Lush store or online here.

Crème Merveillance for normal to dry skin by Nuxe Paris: Total luxury in a heavy glass pot.  Nuxe is a top French plant-based skincare brand.  This moisturizer can be used day or night.  It’s super creamy and smells absolutely divine, like a bouquet of flowers.  It contains hyaluronic acid which plumps skin and smoothes lines.  Available from Nuxe online here or here.

Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm: I’ve been loving my red shades all winter.  I have a bunch of these lip pencils.  This one is from the newer line release last fall by Revlon.  They have the same staying power as the Kissable Lip Stains but these have a shinier finish with a little shimmer.  I have the shade Provacateur 135 which is a pinky red.  Available at any drugstore.

Astalift Nurturing Eye Cream: I’ve been testing out a few products from the Astalift line.  If you’re not familiar with Astalift, it is the premium skincare line of Fujifilm.  Yes, Fuji film.  They claim to have made scientific breakthrough’s in anti-aging skincare based on advanced technologies from Fuji film labs, research and development.  And, I’m sold.  Two of their products, I absolutely love and have made a noticeable difference to my skin.  One is this super rich eye cream and the other is their very unusual but effective Jelly which I’ll review later.  It’s hard to find in the US.  I buy mine from, a London based company with free worldwide delivery.  Check them out here.
