Makeup Favorites: July 2019

Bon Jovi’s debut album released in 1984 included the band’s first hit single,”Runaway.”

Catrice Light Correcting Serum Primer in Candlelight – I love this inexpensive liquid primer. Use under makeup for a soft glow.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation – This has been a longtime favorite foundation of mine. It works best for me when applied with a sponge and I can push it into the skin for light coverage. I use shade No. 51 Light Vanilla.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer – I like the anti-fatigue concealer just as much as the foundation. It’s a little bit heavier than the foundation but goes on smooth and stays in place. I have the French version.

Billy Squier Emotions in Motion includes one of my favorite songs, “Everybody Wants You.”

NARS One Night Stand Cheek Palette – This was Limited Edition but most shades are still available including Laguna Bronzer and Orgasm Blush.

Def Leppard Pyromania was released in 1983. I wore this record out.

LORAC PRO Palette 2 – An oldie but goody. I’ve been reaching for this palette lately.

MAC Paint Pot in Frozen Violet – I’ve been using my Painterly Paint Pot for months and decided to try and use up this discontinued lavender shade. I wear a lot of cream products during the summer and I like cream shadow bases to wear on their own or under shadow to keep my eye makeup in place during sweaty summer months.

Prince Sign O’ The Times double album released in 1987. It’s not my favorite Prince record but it includes “You Got The Look” with Sheena Easton.

L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Burgundy – I bought this hoping it would be a dupe for the discontinued Clinique Black Honey mascara which I loved. This is pretty close. If you are a brown mascara wearer, I recommend giving this a try for a nice change.

Steven Laurant Precision Tip Eyeliner – Love this dark, inky black liquid liner.

Benefit Gimme Brow+Volumizing Eyebrow Gel Mini – One of my favorite brow products. It delivers a lot of color and doesn’t leave my brows crunchy.

Aerosmith’s first Greatest Hits record released in 1980 includes “Dream On” and “Sweet Emotion.”

Sara Happ Plump + Prime – A nice matte lip treatment and primer I’ve been using under lipstick. I’m a lip balm addict and cannot put on a lipstick without first putting on some kind of balm.

L’Oreal Colour Riche Collection in Eva’s Red – Many people don’t care for the smell of L’Oreal lipstick. I like it. The smell takes me back to high school and buying my first lipsticks. I like this matte barn-red shade.

Lipstick Queen Lip Liner in Coral – A pretty good match for Eva’s Red.

Revlon Lipstick in Black Cherry – I’ve been applying this plum shade as more of a lip tint with my fingers and sheering it out.

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray – If you want your makeup to.stay.put.
