September Favorites

Just a few things I’m loving this month.

NexGen Curling Iron by Hot Tools: I did some research on this before I bought it.  It gets great reviews and I agree.  I got the 1 1/4″ barrel.  Heats up fast and makes big, bouncy curls.  Available at Ulta.

Mary-Lou Manizer by theBalm: A GREAT highlighter.  I had been using cream highlighters throughout the summer and just switched to this powder form this month.  Gives off a lovely candlelit, gold toned, highlight.  Available wherever they sell theBalm.  theBalm is Cruelty-Free.

Lip Crayon by Topshop: I love these long lasting lip crayons.  This is the shade Secret Party and its a hot, hot, shimmer pink.  Available at Topshop.  Their lip products are awesome.

Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Masque: A truly wonderful face mask.  It’s clay based so it’s designed to draw out impurities and treat spotty skin.  Aesop is a wonderful Australian skincare line and is Cruelty-Free.  Available at Cult Beauty.

It’s So BIG Volumizing Mascara by Elizabeth Mott: This is a great mascara!  I got this sample in the mail and am massively impressed.  Makes for long, separated lashes!  It’s available on Amazon but it isn’t a cheap one, $20.  Worth it if you’re looking for a high end mascara.

Embryolisse Vitamin Moisturizer for Dry and Mature Skin: I bought this at IMATS earlier this year and started using it toward the end of summer.  It’s much thicker than the Lait Cream Concentrate so I only use it at night.  It’s very moisturizing.  I’ll always have at least one Embryolisse cream in the medicine cabinet.  Fantastic range.  Available at Amazon or

Kiehl’s Superbly Efficient Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant: I love this!  As the names suggests, it is Superbly Efficient!  $16 at Kiehl’s.

Brass door knocker from local junk shop.
